Community Partnership Program wrap

Community Partnership Program raising the roof with more than 1.2 million dollars going back into our communities!

Throughout August and September 2019, Regional Australia Bank held events across NSW to celebrate the recipients of our Community Partnership Program.

On our 50th anniversary, Regional Australia Bank hit an impressive million-dollar milestone in donation totals as a result of the Community Partnership Program. Donations provided through the program are used to support local clubs, charities and community groups across our network.

As the program grows, so does the donation total, and in 2019 we are proud to announce that we were able to donate a total of $1,284,897.07 across the network. Armidale managed to generate the most donations, overtaking Dubbo for the first time in the programs ten year history.

Armidale gave back an impressive $166,652.16 to the community, with Dubbo not too far behind, raising $160,890.58. Our Inverell team also hit a milestone this year, reaching over the $100,000 mark in donations.

Regional Relationship Manager, Ben Luck, spoke about the program’s success saying

“It’s events like these that celebrate the leaders in our communities. Those people who are willing to give up their time for their passion for ensuring that our towns and cities have the services and support to thrive and remain vibrant places to live, work and play.” It does feel good to give them the recognition they deserve and a platform to profile their organisation or cause.”

The Community Partnership Program is people powered - the more people that participate, the more donations local community organisations will continue to receive. It works by calculating a members average annual savings balance and donates the equivalent of 1% back to a chosen group each year – at no cost to the participant. Many members participate in the program knowing that they are going to make an impact on their local community. It’s a simple reminder that they are part of something bigger than just being a customer of a bank. They are part of a movement empowering and enriching their regional community.
