Community Partnership Program brings welcome fundraising boost for community groups across Regional Australia

Regional Australia Bank would like to say a big congratulations to all our Community Partnership Program recipients on another successful year as members of this great initiative.

We are proud to announce that this year’s program has reached another new milestone, with more than $2 million dollars in donations going to our registered organisations.

Sadly, due to the Covid restrictions in place throughout 2021, Regional Australia Bank was once again unable to host its Community Partnership Program presentation events. Regional Australia Bank CEO, David Heine, congratulated all recipients virtually via a video message.

We’re incredibly proud of this program and to see such a substantial amount go towards so many organisations who work tirelessly to support our regional communities,” he said.

Leading these organisations are people who give up their time to ensure that our towns and cities have the services and support to thrive. It’s so important to give them the recognition they deserve and a platform to profile their great work.

Now in its 13th year, the Community Partnership Program helps thousands of community groups across regional Australia to fundraise. This has never been more important than right now, with ongoing restrictions meaning many organisations are unable to hold events to raise funds for the important work that they do.

From sporting clubs, environmental groups right through to health services, Regional Australia Bank is proud to support 1,600 registered groups and causes through this program.

“We share the same values as these organisations and that’s really important to us. To know that we’re working with people that share the same ideals and values and supporting communities throughout regional Australia like we do is one of the great aspects of our partnership together,” said Mr Heine.

About the Community Partnership Program

The Community Partnership Program is people powered - the more people that participate, the more donations local community organisations will continue to receive. It works by calculating a member’s average annual balance and Regional Australia Bank donates the equivalent of 0.75% of supporter accounts, and 0.40% of support accounts owned by the community partner, back to a chosen group each year – at no cost to the member.

Many of our members participate in the program knowing that they are going to make an impact on their local community. It’s a simple reminder that they are part of something bigger than just being a customer of a bank, they are part of a movement empowering and enriching their regional community.
