Manage your daily payment limits
Need to make a larger payment? You can now manage your daily payment limits directly in the app, without calling us.
More control over your payments
BPAY, Internal and External Transfers, International Transfers, Osko/PayID Transfer, each has its own limit. Change any of them to suit what you need, then drop them back down again when you're done. Changes apply straight away.
To change a limit
1. Entry point, "App security and banking limits"
- Open the app and tap your profile.
- Tap "App security and banking limits", you'll find it here alongside things like Face ID and your login settings.
- Tap "Daily payment limits".
2. The full "View or change your daily payment limits" screen
- Choose the payment type you want to change, for example BPAY.
- Pick a new limit from the list, or choose "Standard limit", our recommended amount for most members.

- Verify with the one-time code sent to your phone.
4. One-time code verification
- Your new limit applies straight away, and you'll see it reflected on the payment limits screen.
5. View the updated limits
- The updated limit and progress bar can be viewed on the payment screen after the change.

What does "Standard limit" mean?
Standard limit is Regional Australia Bank’s recommended limit for that payment type, it's set to suit typical use rather than being a single flat amount across the board. Once you select it, you'll see the exact figure reflected straight away on your payment limits screen.
Is there a maximum I can set myself?
There's no single maximum. Self-service limits are whatever amounts are offered in the list for that payment type. If you want something higher or lower than what's on the list, call us on 132 067 and we'll sort it out.
Does raising my limit make my account less secure?
No. You're simply choosing how much you can send day to day, the same account and transaction protections apply regardless of your limit. That said, it's worth resetting your limit back down once you've made a one-off large payment, a lower limit narrows what's exposed if your details are ever compromised. You can raise or lower it again any time in the app.
Can I raise my limit ahead of a payment I know is coming?
Yes. Raise the limit before the payment is due, just make sure it's still in place when the payment goes through, if it's dropped back below the payment amount by then, the payment will be declined. Once the payment's gone through, you can lower the limit again.
Which payment types have their own limit?
BPAY, Internal Transfer, External Transfer, International Transfers and NPP Transfer each have their own limit. Changing one doesn't affect the others.
Is this available in Internet Banking?
Daily payment limits are available in Internet Banking too, the screens there are a little different.
