This year marks many milestones for Regional Australia Bank. From celebrating our 50th anniversary and then marking 10 years of our innovative Community Partnership Program, to recording one of the highest customer satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Scores of all Australian banks*. 2018 has been a history-making year and it is not stopping there.
A big part of the Regional Australia Bank difference is the commitment it has to supporting customers and local communities. This year our Community Partnership Program, which aside from marking 10 years, has also donated a record $1,029,037. These funds are in addition to a variety of Regional Australia Bank sponsored community groups and initiatives across regional Australia.
This year 24 events were held across regional NSW to present the donations and celebrate the efforts of all who participate in the program. Over 1000 community organisations received donations that will be used to help them continue to deliver services to their community.
The program has continued to grow at over 30% year-on-year for the last five years and we’re not just talking about the bigger regional centres like Dubbo, Armidale and Tamworth. Many of the smaller towns have received a phenomenal amount of support.
"..... we have seen smaller regions like Trangie, Manilla and Denman receive more per capita based on population size and Glen Innes and Tenterfield organisations received the most funds per organisation proving it’s not the size of the town that counts, it’s the size of its heart that makes a difference.”
Regional Manager Ben Luck explains, “In 2017, we saw Dubbo lead the donations and repeated this again in 2018 with a significant donation of $126,766 back to the community, however this year Armidale closed the gap and celebrated giving $111,668 back to local community groups. Yet despite these mammoth efforts, we have seen smaller regions like Trangie, Manilla and Denman receive more per capita based on population size and Glen Innes and Tenterfield organisations received the most funds per organisation proving it’s not the size of the town that counts, it’s the size of its heart that makes a difference.”
Community groups can have a direct influence on the amount they receive from the Community Partnership Program. By encouraging people to bank with Regional Australia Bank and select their organisation, more funds will be directed to their organisation each year.
Our 2019 Program aims to be even bigger and we encourage individuals and organisations big and small, to bank with Regional Australia Bank and participate in the program. It feels good knowing your everyday banking is making a difference to your local communities.
