Recoveries and Financial Assistance Officer

 Permanent Full-Time

• Port Macquarie or Armidale location with flexible or remote working arrangements considered for right applicant
• Total Remuneration Package from $75,000 per annum (inclusive of superannuation)
• To be considered for this position, applicants must hold work rights for Australia that cover the term of the contract.

The role

As a Recoveries and Financial Assistance Officer, you will have a focus on helping members in need and working closely with customers to return non-performing loans to a performing status or guide them through the debt recovery process. You will manage delinquent accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, handle litigation actions, and assess and recommend solutions for hardship cases.

About You

To excel in this role, ideally you will have strong knowledge of financial services, with experience working in recoveries, collections or a lending related role. 

Your ability to have empathy and understanding of a customer’s circumstances whilst having a focus on always limiting potential losses will be important so strong communication and negotiation skills are essential. 

You should also have an understanding of debt recovery laws and regulations, the ability to work autonomously, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
