Finance Manager

Located in beautiful Armidale, a rare opportunity has become available to lead and manage the Finance Team.

Exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to build a team providing effective, quality and timely management of Regional Australia Bank's financial obligations. The role reports directly to the CFO and oversees management and statutory accounting functions, back office Treasury, settlements, accounts payable & receivable services. The Finance Manager supports the business, board and management by providing both financial and non-financial information to assist in decision making and strategic planning.

About The Role

Ideally the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Finance Team ensuring a high standard of quality and timely finance functions.

This role will support the Chief Financial Officer through championing an effective financial performance management culture; you will assist with the maintenance of a robust Accounting framework ensuring a continued focus on innovation and input into process and business improvement strategies. You will oversee the preparation of statutory reporting, collection, analysis and dissemination of quality information, while overseeing the accounts payable, receivable, and settlement functions.

You will be able to resolve problems with creativity and attention to detail; develop and maintain effective networks; adopt and adjust to change and its processes; Set priorities, plan workloads, meet deadlines and achieve objectives through the efficient use of time and resources while effectively implementing business and operational plans.

About You

  1. CPA / CA qualified supported by relevant undergraduate or post graduate degree
  2. Proven staff management and leadership experience
  3. Demonstrated understanding and preparedness to commit to the organisation’s values
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  5. Well-developed computer skills with demonstrated experience in the Microsoft Office suite of products
  6. Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills


  1. A current, unencumbered Drivers Licence
  2. Previous experience within a financial institution
  3. Previous experience with Tech One Accounting software
  4. Previous experience with Ultracs Banking system; and
  5. Experience with APRA reporting.
