The Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst, under guidance from the Business Intelligence Manager, is responsible for the development of effective business intelligence and data warehouse solutions. Using modern business intelligence tools, the incumbent will undertake critical analysis of financial and non-financial information to achieve improvements in performance measures such as cost reduction, time reduction or quality improvement across the entire organisation. Whilst the role reports within the Enterprise Systems Team, it is chartered with a wide scope of reporting requirements across the entire organisation.

Skills & Experience

Ideally the successful candidate will work with a variety of audiences while undertaking data profiling and data quality and integrity analysis of source systems. This role will have the ability to investigate issues, prioritise solutions and identify and resolve underlying root cause problems; Set priorities, plan workloads, meet deadlines and achieve the objectives of the department.

The successful applicant will be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with management and staff members of Regional Australia Bank; they will be able to develop, foster and maintain effective networks by displaying confidence and using well developed communication skills. They will be able to adopt and adjust to change and its processes by setting priorities, planning workloads, meeting deadlines through the efficient use of time and resources.

About you

To be successful in your application you will have advanced problem solving skills; advanced SQL and relational database experience and experience with business intelligence and data warehousing.

You may also have some experience working in a financial institution; project management; or have some Microsoft business intelligence or Cognos business intelligence suite knowledge or a willingness to undertake relevant training.
